Easter 2007

This year the week leading up to and including Easter weekend was very busy for us. Alana's moms group held an Easter Egg hunt the Thursday before at which Tyler just cleaned house (there were over 8 dozen eggs!!). Then there was a birthday party for one of Tyler's little buddies on Saturday. Easter Sunday we had brunch in Santa Barbara with Grandma and Grandpa Mok and some of their friends who just moved to the area. We also held a little Easter Egg hunt in our front yard Easter Sunday with the family across the street from us.

Then to top it off Tyler moved into his "big boy" room this weekend. We had been working hard on it for the past couple of weeks, putting in a closet organizer and painting the walls. It is everything a "Cars" movie fan could ask for, complete with card bed. Alana is still getting over having to paint the walls bright red. The original plan was to have him move in after his 3rd birthday in May, but the room was completed a month ahead of schedule. We decided it would be next to impossible to keep him out of the room so, leaving his crib/toddler bed behind, he moved in Sunday night. He absolutely loves it and is constantly pointing out the various movie characters on his walls. He's growing up so fast!

I don't know how the kids were able to find the eggs, the Easter Bunny hid them so well.

Don't let his empty basket fool you. Mom is holding the other, bigger basket in her hand.

What a motley crew. Can you tell Tyler has already gotten into his candy in this picture?

The infamous car bed, before move-in day.

Lightning McQueen, he's everywhere!!

Checking out his Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa Mok and the chocolate Easter bunny from Mom and Dad.

Checking out his completed room for the first time. Car! Car! Car!

Jumping on his bed for the first time.

Enjoying the fruits (aka eggs) of their labor.
